Show GRID WORK BEGINS AT OLD COLUMBIA NEW YORK, Sept. 23. Football practice prac-tice was begun at Columbia university today for the first time In ten years. In that time Columbia has taken no part in intercollegiate games. Last spring more than 300 students promised to report re-port as candidates for the eleven, but it was not expected that more than sixty or seventy of them would. None of the cand hint oa has played the game since graduation from preparatory school two years ago. Some of Columbia's old football foot-ball siars. including Tom Thorpe and Harold Weeks, are expected to aid in the preliminary roachfng. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., Sept. 23.
