Show INCIPIENT BLAZE IS FOUND IN TIME Cigar Stump on Window Ledge of Justice Olegg's Court "Soaked." in Season. An odor from something burning blew into the courtroom, and also the clerk's office. Clifford W. Naylor, clerk of the court, began to investigate. The ledge of the window off the ante-room was smoking a bit, the smoke wafting into the rear of the building. Upon the ledge and lying ly-ing in a sort of crack was a , short cigar stump. Who put it there could not be determined ft had ignited the wood, which was being fanned into a live blaze. Clerk Naylor quickly procured a cup of water and doused it into the ledge crack, extinguishing the fire. |
