Show ALBION MINERS Hi LARGE PILE OF ORE Discover Chunks of Copper-bearing Copper-bearing Mineral Weighing Weigh-ing About 150 Pounds. Confident that a body of shipping copper ore will be disclosed as soon as the main breast of the crosscut on the Albion property, located in the Little Cottonwood district and adjoining the South Hecla and the Sells property, is reached, the management is making every ev-ery endeavor to resume operations in that portion of the workings. Some delay has been experienced by the failure fail-ure of the pipe for the new air-line to arrive. This has been ordered and should have reached the property yesterday. yester-day. Reports from the property yesterday were to the effect that a strong wind was blowing up the canyon, which caused the gae to hang in the Albion workings and made trips into the crosscut cross-cut dangerous, if the miners remained any great length of time. They did, however, succeed in getting to within about fifty feet of the breast. At that point they found the crosscut filled almost al-most to the roof with gangue and ore. Specimens of copper ore were strung along the tracks for a considerable distance dis-tance before the main pile oi rock and ore was reached. The miners reported finding pieces of copper ore weighing between 150 and 200 pounds. The water is gradually subsiding. As soon as the pipe for the new air-lme arrives ar-rives at the property the wrork of putting put-ting in a new air-line will be pushed forward for-ward as rapidly as possible. As the pipe-line is put in the work of clearing clear-ing the tunnel of the Cock and ore will be pushed forward. The management hopes to be able to put in the first round of shots in about a week's time. |
