Tne Sanpete cwunty fair closed laat evening after & three-day round of plaaaure. Aboul 16,000 people visited the fair. The prlte fountain was carried off by Ephraliu. In the baby show contest, John Hall. I ton or Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hall, received 'first prise; the eon of Fred 'ox received 1 second prise; the son or Elmer Madsn I third prise. In the girls' contest the j daughter or Peter C. Peterson. Jr.. of i Kphralm. received rirst prize; a daughter daugh-ter of B. Bes.ura.tBfl rtl of Gunnison sec-I sec-I ond and the daughter of Mrs. Earl of Fairvlew third prise. I Mr. and Mrs. Coniad Schlapfei received ' the prise for being the shortest couple present at Ihe horticulture building and Mr. and Mrs. W 11 ford Bench the prize for the tallest couple. The real mental band of Mt. Pleasant furnished the music for the military ball Tuesday evening. The races and amusements amuse-ments at the fairgrounds were unusually good and the exhibits at the horticulture building surpassed those of last year. |
