The junior high school is formed of the seventh, eighth and ninth grades, and the tenth, eleventh elev-enth and twelfth srades will constitute tho senior high school. The time-honored titles of freshman, sophomores, junior ju-nior and senior are to become things of the past. Positions Assigned. Professor Eaton then assigned positions posi-tions in the auditorium to the different , lasses. A meeting 01 all boys will be held today for the purpose of forming a sood athletic association. To all present pres-ent appearances the school will not have miv ny strong athletic teams this year, and th'boys were urged to support them i h h the most heroic efforts. To Choose Manager. At the "West high school a similar meeting will be held today. The athletic ath-letic association w 111 meet and begin business. In addition, a new football manager will be elected, the old one having hav-ing ia.ili.-d to return. But the coming organization of the i adc t battalion is perhaps the most in-ic:-eHting to students. A meeting of all freshman and sophomore boys will be h.cj i Thursday at the west side school. Another will soon be held at the east one. There will bo at least 350 cadets at the former and nearly as many more at the new sohocJ. - At the first meetings the boys will be given a talk, describing the battalion and explaining the proposed trip to San Kram-ii-co next summer. Shortly after the first meeting the new boys will be assigned to rom panics. It is found that there are six commissioned com-missioned officers at the new school and only two at the old. For this reason the captain adjutant will come from the eat school, while a staff officer will act as adjutant at the west. These of-li'.crs of-li'.crs will be announced in a few daye. |
