Show BUILD MILL LATER Company Directors Await-ing Await-ing Process That Will Treat Ores Commercially. Accompanied by M. .T. Dailcv. who for fifteen years was with the Silver King Coalition company, J. C. Lynch, manager of tbe Victoria mine, has returned re-turned from an inspection trip to the property in Tintic. Mr. Dailey has been actios: as consulting engineer for Manager Lynch. Both expressed themselves them-selves as highly pleased with conditions at the mine. The company has deferred de-ferred acliou ou building a mill until it can determine the outcome of various mills being constructed at present. A large tonnage of ore has been developed de-veloped on the luoO and l'-'OO levels of this property, according to Manager Lynch. He says that they have been opening up the ground in theso deposits de-posits for some distance, and that the ore averages from $7 to S3 in places, and that there is :i considerable amount that carries as much as Slo in values. L'nough of the better grade of ore is being extracted to make the company some money, and the conditions look finite good "for better results from development. de-velopment. With the tonnage in sight the Victoria Vic-toria management would seem justified justi-fied in building a reduction plant, but it appears that the company is waiting wait-ing to see what the results will be at the Knight-Christousen plant before attempting at-tempting to install 3 plant for its ores. The complex grade of the Tintic ore has alwavs mado it a difficult proposition proposi-tion to handle and" thus far there have been no mills successfully operated for anv length of time. Manager Lvuch has been economizing economiz-ing in everv department of the mine operations in an effort to place the property on a self-supporting basis. He reports some profit being shown on operations and the indebtedness ill" the company being gradually reduced. He expects' to keep tbe property in the clear from the shipping grade of ore and the mill proposition will bo given due consideration just as soon ns the directors are assured that a process for cummcrrialii'.ing tho low- gTade ores can he adopted. It is understood that nothing will be done on the reduction plant until next year. |
