Show NONPAYMENT OF FREIGHT CHARGED Complaints were filed in the United State district court yesterday by the Salt Lake Route against fruit shippers of Utah county in connection with alleged neglect to pa3r freight charges on fruit shipped in 1H12. In the first complaint Jex & Bird, Atwcod Brothers, David Baxter & Sons and other shippers are charged with having failed to pay $177. 7S freight charges on a car of fruit delivered from Omaha to Chicago and sold there at auction auc-tion for lo. Jex & Bird. Fugal Brothers, Atwood Brothers and other shippers are charged with falling to pay $182 freight charges on a car disposed of in like manner man-ner and G. A. Zabriskie Is charged with failure to pay charges of $480.39 on a car sent to Providence. R. I. The car was refused by the consignee, according to the information, and sold at auction for $8ti.l8. According to the Information in the complaint, com-plaint, the fruit was shipped from Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and Prove in September of 1912. |
