Show ONE SHOT IN QUARREL. 'Philip Diaz Receives Two Bullet Wounds; i Francisco Lopez Held, j Special to The Tribune. I'ROVO, Sept. 14. Two Mexicans, i Francisco Lopez and Philip Diaz, en-' en-' ?aged in a snooting Mffair at Thistle last I night fi nd were brought to Provo this morning by Deputy riherif C. H. Clark. Diaz lias a bullet wound in his shoulder and one in the abdomen. Diaz is being attended by Dr. K. G. Hughes, county physician. ! Lopez is charged with tho shooting. He claims Diaz attacked him with a butcher knife and that he shot in self-defense. ; The officers say the men, who are railroad rail-road laborers, had been drinking. No i details of the cause of the quarrel have j been given. The men are each about ! S years of age. |
