Show LEAPS FROM Will! TO ESCAPE HUSBAND Bingham Woman Is Severely Severe-ly Injured by Fall; Will Sue for Divorce, Special to The Tribune. BINGHAM. Sept. 14. In an effort to escape from her husband, whom she accused ac-cused of threa toning to kill her, Mrs. Ray H. Jones this afternoon jumped from the second-story window of. their home. Her fall to the street resulted in, a badly bruised arm and internal injuries, which may have a serious result. Jones is in tiie city jail tonight on a charge, of assault as-sault and battery, following his arrest by the police. Mrs. .Jones followed her fall by having an attorney prepare papers pa-pers for divorce. Jones Is an employee of the Ftah Construction Con-struction company, and is a carpenter by trade. He returned to his home today to-day and Is said to have accused Ids wife of infidelity and to have then threatened threat-ened to kill her. Mrs. Jones says that she became frightened when he started toward her, brushing her mother to one side. Without thought of the consequences conse-quences she jumped through the open window. The immediate cause of tho trouble is said to have been an altercation over a coat and suit that Mrs. Jones purchased at the Bingham Mercantile company. Mrs. Jones tonight said that she had been married three years and that during dur-ing that time her husband had many times abused her, accused her of wrongdoing wrong-doing and would not allow her to go to the theater or to any social affair of the camp. Jones refused to make any explanation of his action. His preliminary hearing will Ve tomorrow morning. Jones is j 37 years of age and his wife 20 years. |
