Show OFFICIAL REPORT FROM PETROGRAD PARIS. Sept 14. The following official offi-cial communication was issued tonight: "On the Austrian front the Russian i troops are crossing the San river. On taking position near the Rawaruska, the Russian troops captured thirty cannon and $000 prisoners and also enormous stores of war material and provisions. "The results of the pursuit of the enemy en-emy in that, territory' are still unknown. "In the marshes of Belgoralon, the Russians found more Austrian batteries sunk In the mud, abandoned during retreat. re-treat. "The general army, while repulsing the last desperate Austrian attack, captured,' the moment our troops took the offensive, a great number of prisoners and guns, the total number of which lias not as yet been determined. "General Brusslloff declares his troops gave proof of great energy, determination determina-tion and bravery. The commanders of the corps, he says, led their units with imperturbable coolness, snatching victory from the enemy on more than one occasion oc-casion a t critical moments. "General Brussiloff particularly commends com-mends the actlvltv of the Bulgarian general, gen-eral, Radko Dmitrieff, in the fighting. "On the right bank of the Dniester river the Austrians have been thrown back on Dorogobuzh, fifty-five miles east of Smolensk. "Czernowitz, capital and chief town of the crownland of Bukowina, and all the neighboring regions have ben occupied by the Russian armies without resistance." |
