Show Music at American. As usual, the musical features at the American theater have been attractive and well received during the past week. Musical Director J. J. MeClellan conducted con-ducted throughout the week, with the exception of Wednesday evenine. when he assisted In the production of "Th" Redemption." Re-demption." L. N. Harmon. Jr., conducted ttie orchestra, and Organist Samuel F-Whttaker F-Whttaker of the Ogden "tabernacle played the uuul Wednesdit y evening- organ recital re-cital In Professor McCiellan's place. Mr. A"hltal:er was well received: Organist Modern played the Tuesday evening orgaD recital, and in answer to enthus!-a.ilrj enthus!-a.ilrj appiause, he played an encore. Among the notable orchestral numbers performed during the week was the grand , selection from "Nanon" i Massenet) ; "Last Hope" CGottscbalk) ; "Venetian lsve Sons" (Nevin) ; "Dance of the Hours" (from "La Gloconda" (Poncheilli ) : "Morris Dance" (Widon; "Frlrmess .luan" (Saint Saens); selection. "The Fireflv" (Kriml): "Hieh Jinks" (Frlml); "Sweet Sixteen" (Herbert), and oilier light and popular numbers. At the regular regu-lar weekly rehearsal of the orchestra on Wednesday morning, some excellent results re-sults were had In the playing of the new i Grlcs Suite: Liszt's "Love Dream" and ; Von Weber's beautiful overture.
