EIGHTY-FOUR seniors at the Latter-day Saints' university have applied, for graduation on I commencement day the last week of this month. The graduation gradua-tion committee has reported favorably upon practically all applicants and expects ex-pects to have the official list of graduates grad-uates from the institution readv for publication Friday of this week. There are very few seniors who are not up with their work. In fact, the committee commit-tee on graduation reports that everv member of the class has a 'chance to graduate if the last two "weeks are spent in earnest, study. Clark Young, president of the class, reports much progress made during the four years, both in scholarship and in athletics. He contends that the class of 1014 has been the 3ne wire of the institution in every way possible, and his contention is corroborated by the faculty of the school. Young himself has been a representative student, of the , school for the last, two years, acting ;is ' school vellmaster, the most popular and j coveted position in the student bodv. i He has also taken a prominent part in I school dramatics. He was leading man j in the cast of (Ro?e of Plymouth j Town" in the winter of If!-, besides j participating in debating and scholarship scholar-ship work. Miss Edith Smith, daughter of' Prei- j dent, Joseph F. Smith ot the Mormon i church, has won especial rocogni tion. j She is vice president of her class, commencement com-mencement valedictorian, and scholarship scholar-ship student. Lawrence Sloan, editor of the Gold j and Blue, is also popular with his fel- i low students. j The other officers of this year's class are Bichanl Wells, business managev of the school paper, Gold and Blue; Maurice Mau-rice Anderson, manager of the commencement com-mencement issue, the'S" hook; Augusta Au-gusta Ivins, secretary; Clio Tanner, captain cap-tain of the school debating team, president presi-dent of the school debating society, The Ciceroni a, and scholarship student; Joseph Wort hen, treasurer and school representative debater; Leah Wollcy, scholarship student, and George Williams, Wil-liams, social manager of the class.
