Indications in the senate arc that this week will be 33 prolific in public hearings hear-ings as last week was. There is a lot of public interest in many of the big legislative leg-islative matters before the senate, and the chairmen of standing committees are anx- j ious to give citizens every opportunity to voice their suggestions concerning legislation leg-islation which would affect them. Some of the public hearings on senate bills already scheduled for this week are: Today Hearing on the coal weight bill before the railroads committee in the senate chamber at 10 o'clock this morning. Hearing on the employers' liability and workingmen's compensation compensa-tion bill before the committee on health and labor in the senate cham-. ber immediately following the adjournment ad-journment of the senate. On Utilities Measure. Tuesday Hearing at 7:30 in the evening before the senate judiciary committee on the public utilities commission com-mission bill, in the senate chamber. Wednesday Hearing on the standard stand-ard weights and measures bill before the committee on state affairs In the senate chamber at 10 a, m. Healing on the "drugiess healfn?" bill before the committee on health and labor In the senate chamber Immediately following fol-lowing the afternoon session. Hearing Hear-ing on the orphans' home and Salt Lake' kindergarten bills before the joint appropriations committee in the governor's office afc 4 p. m. The senate committee on agriculture and Irrigation is expected to begin serious seri-ous consideration of the prohibition bills today, with the idea of formulating a report re-port on them for the senate.
