Show NEW SCHOOL PLAN TO BE DISCUSSED Special Meeting oF tlie Board of Education Will Be Held Tonight. The board of education will hold a special meeting tonight to consider the merits of a resolution Introduced bv A. D. McMullIn a week ago, calling for a new system of administering the business busi-ness affuirs of the public schoohi. It Is probable that the resolution will bo adopted, as nearly all tho membcru of the board have declared themselves favorably fa-vorably Impressed by tho Idea. Mr. McMullIn bellevoB that from $15,000 to $.'0,000 can bo saved each year on the purchase of supplies alone by conducting thlK busltieHH through one central head. His resolution provides for the naming of Clerk L. P. Jurid as manager and purchasing pur-chasing agent for the entire Bchool system. sys-tem. At present there are half a dozen officials who purchase supplies separately, separate-ly, and as a result there Is no standard governing this phanc of the business and the best prices arc not always obtained, It Is bcllox'ed. Also, by relieving the superintendent of schools and other officials connected with the educational department from all bunl-ness bunl-ness burdens, Mr. McMullIn bclloves better bet-ter results would obtain In thai department depart-ment as well.
