The Mason Vally coimcr smelting plant has been In successful operation for about a year, and tho copper matte produced pro-duced by the plant has been and Is being be-ing shipped to the Garfield, Utah, plant of tho American Smelting & Uctlnlug company. By converting the matte right at t lie Thompson smelter tho Mason Valley Val-ley company will not only reduce freight rates and charges now existing. 1ut the management will find Itself able to smelt a consldeablo tonnage of ore now available, avail-able, but which, under existing conditions, condi-tions, cannot bo treated profitably enough.
