It was written by Mrs. Man' W CrJtchlow, president of the club, as follows; Gentlemen Representing the La-ales La-ales Literary club, a body of 300 women wom-en Interested in the welfare of tho community and the Improvement and beautifying of the city. A few years ago a petition signed by 1500 club women of the city and state was sent to the council concerning con-cerning tho mattiir, and tho lease which was then under ndvlsoment was out down to ten years. Seven years of tluit luase have passed, and the 4 ;tltIon now Is to lease anew for thirty -five years. Public Property. It has long been hoped that this property, owned by the city and nat-, nat-, urully endowed with medicinal and health-giving qualities, would be iiold by the city for a park, public baths and children's playgrounds. I .Such use of the grounds would be a public benefaction and would transform trans-form tho present ugly blot on the landscape, and most undesirable conditions, con-ditions, Into a garden spot of beauty and perpetual benefit.
