The emergency telephone will prove a boon to the rangers who patrol the forests for-ests in the camping reason when fires are likely to spread without a moment's notice. Those telephone wires will bo strung along the ground In areas where fires are found, giving the rangers communication com-munication with the supervisor's headquarters head-quarters at all times. The wire weighs twenty pounds to Iho mile, making It possible pos-sible for one pack animal to carry ton miles of the wire.
