George Gunn of this city, manager of tho Mason Valley, Inspiration and other southwestern mining properties, accompanied accom-panied by W. B. Thompson and other big mining men, Is scheduled to arrive In Ely today (Sunday) to make an Inspection Inspec-tion of the properties In that district. Mr. Gunn and associates are traveling In a privato .car, and have been In Arizona and Novada for some time going go-ing over tho mining fields carefully. Considerable importance Is attached to their visit In the Mason V'nlloy and Yerington Yer-ington districts, aa It is understood that thoy docldod upon definite locatlona and plans for the now smelter which they contcmplato building to handle tho ores of the Mason Valley property, as well as to take caro of whatever custom smelting smelt-ing they may secure. It has boon announced that work on the smeller will be pushed right ahead as soon as the necessary steel can be delivered. The Mason Valley district operators have already planned extensive exten-sive developments, and production, as a result, of tho assurance of a smelter, and the coming summer promises to bo a lively and prosperous one for that section. sec-tion.
