HONOR A GLEASON DEAD AT LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA A telegram was received in Salt Lake early 'this (Sunday) morning from Miss Nora Gleason conveying the intelligence of tho death at Long Beach, Cat, of her mother, Mrs. Honora Gleason. Mrs. Gleason left Salt Lake February 5 for Long Beach In the hope that the change of climate would prove beneficial" to her. Mrs. Gleason had been in feeble health for ma.ny years, her ailment taking acute form during tho early winter. Mrs. Gleason's husband died many years ago In Nevada, where the family were pioneers of the Comstock. A lifelong life-long friend of the family is Bishop Laurence Laur-ence Scanlan of tho Catholic dlo'cese of Salt Lake. Ho had known tho family in Novada. When Miss Norn Gleason went to Chicago to study music In the conservatories con-servatories there. Mrs. Gleason was the housekeeper at tho bishop's residence. Miss Gleason has for many years been the organist and director of the choir In St. Mary's cathedral.
