Show 1 PROVO NEWS NOTTS Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO, Dec. 23. Jame3 Gray of the First ward died this mornins at the Provo general hospital from acuto appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. Deceased was horn In New Brunswick, Canada, February 23, 1S4S. and camo to Utah with his parents in 1S54. Since then ho had resided In this city, where he had taken an active part In civic affairs, having been a member of the city council for several terms and hold other public positions of trust. Mr. Gray was an honorable, industrious man and always had tho respect and conll-dence conll-dence of the people who knew him. A widow, eight children and numerous other oth-er relatives survive him. Ono daughter is in California and until she can he communicated with funeral arrangements arrange-ments will not b"rmade. The Masonic fraternity had a great gathering last evening, tho occasion being be-ing tho Installation of officers. .After the ceremony of installation a banquet was served In the K. of P. hall, at which 125 members and Invited guests were present. pres-ent. The new gymnasium gymna-sium of tho Murray volunteer lire department depart-ment wns thrown open today for the first tlmo.
