De Courcey. of Seattle, la stranded In . this city, by reason of continual bad luck since her departure from Denver several days ago on her way home. Stopping at Colorado Springs for a short time, she left hurriedly to catch a train, forgetting forget-ting a pocket book containing ?70 ln currency, cur-rency, a draft for $130 and Jewelry valued val-ued at $100. Arriving at Salt Lake, she stopped at the Cullcn hotel and wired to Colorado Springs In an attempt to locate her property. While awaiting replies to the telegrams sent by tho railroad company com-pany and herself, she with a lady acquaintance ac-quaintance went out to Saltalr. Her ticket to Seattle was lost on this trip, although al-though she did not discover the loss until un-til she had taken the train from Salt Lake Wednesday morning. She left the train at Ogden and appealed to Depot Master Cunningham for assistance until funds are received. Telegrams were again sent to Assistant Superintendent Apperton of the Denver & Rio Grande at Colorado Springs, In an effort to locate the pocket book of the lady, who is very much distressed, being In a strange city without friends or money. The local railroad rail-road officials are caring for her in the meantime. |
