Show LONG. BALLOON FLIGHT IS AGAIN POSTPONED FIUEDKRIOHPHAFEN. July 15. The damage caused yesterday to the iiwm-moth iiwm-moth airship by a defect In tho steering gear was fully repaired, and Count Zeppelin Zep-pelin decided to start on his twenty-four-hour flight this morning. Responding to the maneuvers, the bow of the ship rose In the air and tho motors were started. 'rhn. before sufficient way had boen acquired ac-quired to permit of proper steering, a gust of wind blew the airship against tho side of the floating shed. The side steering gear of the ship hit the walls of the shed, twe.nty yards of tho outer rubber-covered silk covering was torn away, unci the sido propeller was bent. It was eventuallv freed from this position and towed back to the nlied. An Inspection of tho damage dam-age was made, after which It whs announced an-nounced that It would take a week to effect ef-fect repairs. Consequently, the long flight will have to bo postponed for at least seven days. |
