A meeting' meet-ing' of the directors of the Pacific Coast Base Ball league was hold tonight. Cal Ewlng represented the San Francisco team and E. N. Walter tho Oakland team. Ewlnp: was elected treasurer in place of A. J. Clunle, resigned. The caso Of Second Baseman Mohler was taken up. Mohler was claimed by the San Francisco Francis-co ami Seattle clubs and the case is now boforo the national commission at Cincinnati Cin-cinnati for adjustment. . The Coast League decided to settle the dispute Itself ' arid . tonight a committee consisting of James F Morley of Los Angeles. Judge McCrocdlo of Portland and Mike Fisher of Fresno, was selected to determine where Mohler belonged. Ewlng produced a letter from Mohler dated January 27 agreeing to play with San Francisco. Russ Hall showed a contract con-tract signed by Mohler dated February IS agreeing to play with Seattle. After a spirited session of three hours the committee com-mittee derided that Mohler belonged to the San Francisco team. Manager Fisher made a strong protest against the schedule which failed to provide pro-vide for the appearance of the Los Angeles An-geles team at Fresno. It was decided to transfer from Los Angeles to Fresno tho scries commencing July 31. |
