McClnln Davis of Santa Ana, Cal., who has filled the pulpit at Westminster West-minster Presbj'torlan church for tho past two Sundays, last rvunlng recolvod tho unanimous call of tho congregation to become the regular pastor of tho church. Mr. Davis. Is Ready to Come. During his brief stay In this cltv. Rov. Mr. Davis made a very favorable impression impres-sion upon tho congregation of Westminster Westmin-ster church. He Is a young man and has been in the ministry about eight years. Before leaving for California on Tuesdav, Mr. Davis Intimated that If a call wore u.v in.- Luiii,i Kiiuun nere u would receive his serious consideration and if accepted, he would be prepared to assume tho pastorate of tho church within with-in a fow wooks. Since August last Westminster church has been without a regular pastor. Rov. John Rlchelsen resigned early In tho summer, hie resignation being received at tho lasi meeting of tho Presbytery. During tho Interval since his departure, the pulpit has been supplied bv local ministers, and by Rev. Mr. Davis. Tho memborshlp of tho church Is now about 250 and it offers a flno field for a young and enthusiastic worker. |
