Show The Copper Belt lakes a Record Nearly Thirty-Five Thousand Tons of Ore Over Its Iron in Month of Octobor. Over the. tracks of the Copper Bolt railway, rail-way, between tho bonanzas of Bingham and the receiving stations on tho Rio Grande, there was forwarded in October approximately 35,000 tons of ore, this constituting con-stituting a new record, although then- Is everything to foretell Its overthrowal bv the November output of Its patrons. The heaviest consignments during the month were those from tho exhauslless oro bodies bod-ies of tho Utah Copper company, that have now been opened for ovor 1G0O feet, although the Boston Con., of whoso ores are sent direct to the furnacen, led tho column, with the Yampa crowding It for first place In that category. From tho Commercial group, ono of tho Bingham Con 's Bingham system, came another big tonnage, while Ohio maintained tho usual nroduetlon. It Is understood that the mnnagemont of the Bingham and New Haven has promised the Copper Belt an Increased tonnage tho present month, while consignments consign-ments from miscellaneous sources should make the November Increase a very pronounced pro-nounced one. Meanwhile tho up-freight over tho lino has continued to increase, and with tho projected extension to the mines of the Utah Con. completed, tho revenues from this source of traffic will have been materially ma-terially Increased. In addition to the volume of ore that passed over tho tracks of the Copper Belt railway, there were tho enormous tonnages ton-nages over tho United States and Utah Con. tramways, and while thero were Interruptions In-terruptions that Incurred a loss, the output out-put of the camp for tho month was an enormous one. |
