L, La very wore appointed a commlttco' to havo chargo of tho worlc This committee has Issued tho following circular lottor, which explains tho movement: To All Labor Unions of Utah, Greeting: At tho laet meeting of tho Salt Lako Federation of Labor, on the question of united effort of the labor unions to coav-bat coav-bat tho aggressiveness of our comrr-on enemy In this State, it was decidedly tho opinion that tho best results could bo accomplished ac-complished through a Stato organization, as It would then glvo us a better chanco for united action that would undoubtedly be to the greatest advantago of all con-corned; con-corned; therefore a committee was appointed ap-pointed with Instructions to Isouo an Invitation In-vitation to all labor unions of this Stato to send delegates to a meeting to bo oponed May 3rd, at 8 p. ra., and continue so long as a majority of delegates at said meeting shall think best, for tho purpose of discussing tho labor movement and taking such action aa may seem beat adapted to udvanco our common Interests. We sincerely appeal to you to send a i representative of your very best and most conservative members, In order that results re-sults may ho accomplished In tho shortest and moat advantageous manner posHlble. We desire to say that there aro now about 70CO union members In IhLs Stitto, and with a united effort of same a great deal can bo accomplished. Wo ask for representation on the following fol-lowing basis; Ono (1) delegate for each charter and ono additional delegate for each one hundred members or majority fraction thereof; central bodies threo delegates. dele-gates. All delegates should have credentials creden-tials properly signed and sealed.
