Show To Attend World's Fair. WASHINGTON, April 23. Speaker Cannon announced the following committee com-mittee to represent the Houso at the opening ceremonies of the Louisiana Purchase exposition: Chairman J. A. Tawney and Representatives Hemen-way Hemen-way (Ind.), Littauer (N. Y.). Curtis (Kan.), Van Voorhees (Ohio), Loverlng (Mass.), Hernian (Or.), Hedge (la.), Babcock (Wis.), Loudenslager (N. Y.), Bartlett (Ga.), Maynard (Va.), Hamlin (Mo.), DInsmore (Ark.) and Clayton (Ala.). The Houso agreed to the Senate amendment to tho pension appropriation appropria-tion bill. The conference report on the naval appropriation bill was called up and the report adopted without division. The conference report on the bill to ratify an agreement with the Crow Indians In-dians of Montana was adopted. Bills were passed "for the protection of tho public forest reserves and national na-tional parks In the United States," and to nmend the act extending the coal land laws to Alaska. The bill for a commission to Investigate Investi-gate the question of ship subsidy was passed. |
