Invitations were issued during the ,t' past week for a reunion of the members of "The Lyceum," to bo held Monday eveninr. May 2nd, at the Commercial club. "The Lyceum," which was organized or-ganized about seventeen years ago, practically went out of cxlstoiice ten years ago. Among the original members mem-bers were N. Y. Schoflold, Oliver Hodgson, Hodg-son, John James, D. R. Lyon, D. J. Watts. J. Fcwson Smith, Jr., James T. Dunbar, W. D. Bowrincr, Prof. J. II. Paul, Prof. W. M. Stewart, James M. Barlow, E. 13. Pierce, Miles A. Romney, Louis R. Wolls, Joseph M. Romney, Joslah Burrows, Frank Woodmansee and Charles Rogers. The reunion of next week will be the first held in a number of years, and among those who will take part are the members of the Lyceum quartette, O. Hodgson, John James, Joslah Burrows and E. II. Pierce. o Very enjoyable was the social given by the O. E. S. last Thursday evening at the home of B. F, Esles of CIO East Third South street. About seventy-live guests were present, and prl7.es in the potato and bean contests were won by Mrs. Young, U. U. HIskcy, Mr. Sinclair. Miss Llbby Cushing, Mrs. Olllnger and Mr. Kinney. Wetzell, Arthur Shepherd and Mrs. William A. Wetzell will conduct con-duct a school of music and rending In this city, beginning Monday, May 30th. The school will hold daily sessions for a period of two weeks. Four departments depart-ments will be organized. Mr. Wetzell will have charge of the school music and reading departments; Mr. Shepherd Shep-herd of the harmony and music history department, and Mrs. Wetzell oC tho voice and song department. Lawrence of this city. no The concert and entertainment for the piano fund of the First Congregational Congrega-tional church, postponed last Thursday evening on account of the danger which might have resulted from the turning on of the electricity in the church, will be given Thursday evening of this week.
