Show HEBEH EVENTS Elders Sent On a Home Mission An Entertainment Heber Dec 1 Several experienced elders have been called by the authorities authori-ties of the Mormon church on a home mission to travel through the various counties of the state Their labors will be principally in the interest of the spirited welfare of the youth Those I who have received their call are Hon Edward D Clyde mayorelect of Heber Joseph A Rasband and Henry McMullin air Clyde leaves tomorrow morning for American Fork where he will join B H Roberts and these two gentlemen gen-tlemen will travel together for a while commencing their missionary work by preaching to the people of American I Fork on the evening of the 2nd inst Last evening the Ladies Shakespearean I Shakespear-ean club of Heber gave a delightful social in their club rooms in honor of I Messrs Edward D Clyde and Joseph A Rasband who are about to leave on I a preaching tour through the state The husbands and a number of the friends of the members of the club were invited and participated in an enjoyable enjoy-able occasion An interesting pro gramme was rendered consisting of songs recitations instrumental music addresses etc At the conclusion of the programme refreshments were served Judge Dusenberry arrived in Heber last evening to open court this morning I morn-ing About six inches of snow greeted the I people this morning and it is still snowing snow-Ing The snow storm is impeding travel between here and Park City The mail stage is delaped and in all probability todays mail will not reach Salt Lake I City until tomorrow night |
