| Show The Behrlng Sea Question Special to THE HERALD Examiner Dispatch WASHINGTON May 2It is rumored Mr Blaine will in a few days come to an agreement agree-ment with Sir Julian Pauncefote on the Behring sea seal question It is said the publicity given to the fact that the British government is willing to come to such an agreement has made it impossible for the secretary of state to longer delay action in the interests of the North American Commercial Com-mercial company It is understood that the agreement will be substantially such a one as was recommended by Sir Henry El liott that is that the two governments will unite in sending a commission to the seal islands this year in order to ascertain thee the-e aqt state of affairs and in the meantime enter into arrangements suspending the killing of seals on the islands for this season sea-son Such an agreement would be stren ously opposed by the North American Commercial company which would thus be forced to suspend opperations for one or more years |
