Show A Remarkable Case of Hiccoughs Special to Tim HERALD Examiner Dispatch BIRMINGHAM Conn May 2The condition condi-tion of Miss Alice Woodward who hic coughed uninterruptedly for six weeks last winter and was then said to have been cured by inhaling amyl is not much improved im-proved Her attending physician Dr Gould A Shelton says she hiccoughs with every mouthful she attempts to swallow and in consequence receives but very little nourishment The young lady is at present at the home of her uncle J D Dayton Mr Dayton has not much hope of her ultimate recovery The amyl has ceased to be of any benefit and hundreds of other reme dies tried have failed to relieve her Dr Shelton is very reluctant talk of the case and hinted that other physicians were treating her Several doctors who were inquired in-quired of declined to talk saying Miss Woodward is Dr Sheltons patient The family refuses to give any information for publication and is much distressed over Alices alarming condition Those who saw her last say she is very much reduced in I weakness flesh and unable to stand up on account of |
