Show Quick action saves infant from drowning in Maeser The life of a 20-month-old boy was saved last Sunday night due to the quick action of his grandlather, Zane Gray J R. Bath, and the Uintah County EMT's. Deeg'r Cattoor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Cattoor, wandered from behind the Zane Gray residence, 1324 West 5U0 North, and into an irrigation ditch along the front of the house. When his grandfather. Zane Gray, pulled the boy out of the ditch, he had stopped breathing and his face was blue, Mrs. Zane Gray said. J.R. Bath gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to the child while the Vernal EMT's were en route to the house. 'Due to the quick action of the EMT's. J R. Bath and his grandfather, the boy's life was saved," Mrs. Gray said. The infant is in good condition in the Uintah County Hospital as of Tuesday. |
