Show San Juan Man, Bert Warren, Called by Death Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m.; for well known San Juan' county resident, resi-dent, Bert Warren, who passed pass-ed away Saturday from a heart ailment. The services were held in the Monticello LDS Ward Chapel. Mr. Warren was for ten years the chairman of the San Juan Democratic party, and was a member of the State Democratic Central Committee. He was also a delegate to the Democratic National Convention four years ago. He was a director of the Monticello , Chamber of Commerce Com-merce and was a past commander com-mander of the Monticello American Am-erican Legion post. He also served as San Juan county Civil Defense director from 1957 to 1964. He was active in the LDS Church, and worked wor-ked ; with various baseball teams in Monticello. Born Jan. 8, 1914, in Minneapolis, Min-neapolis, Minn., he was a son of Walter A. and Johann Carl-eson Carl-eson Warren. He married Ar-villa Ar-villa Evans on Oct. 6,- 1937. The marriage, was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Manti LDS Temple. ;- ' Surviving are his widow, San Juan County, Recorder Arvilla Warren ; two daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Harold (Mary Lou) Mosher, Largo, Fla:, and Carolyn Ca-rolyn r Warren, Lay ton; two stepsons, Arthur J. Steele, and Thomas E, Steele,, both of Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Warren also al-so leaves 11 grandchildren. Funeral services and burial bur-ial were under the direction of the Grand Valley Mortuary.
