Show DMDGELAnEJ Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Temple Wedding Unites Couple Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters returned to their home here Thursday Thurs-day evening from Salt Lake City where they had gone to be present pres-ent at the wedding of their daughter, daugh-ter, Margaret Ruth, to Rulon Dean Skinner at the LDS Temple on Thursday, Feb. 23. There were twenty-one relatives and close friends of the young couple at the wedding. The newly-weds newly-weds left the same evening for a trip to Arizona, which is Mr. Skinner's home state. The new Mr, and Mrs. Skinner wilL be honored at a reception at the Duchesne stake house, March 3rd. DECLAMATION FINALIST Bertie Lisonbee was one of eight Seminary students from the Union High School Seminary classes to be chosen to enter the finals on the Declamation talks. Bertie is a senior student at Union Un-ion High School. The talks will be given at the Roosevelt stake' conference March 4th. Bertie has chosen "Why The Church" as her subject. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady and Bobby Rasmussen of Salt Lake spent the weekend with their parents par-ents and aunt and uncle', Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady. Mr, and Mrs. Lloyd Brady, also visited one evening eve-ning at Mt. Emmons with their friend, Perry Young. Mrs. Edith Brady took the Duchesne Du-chesne cheer leaders to the Ve'rnal-Duchesne Ve'rnal-Duchesne game Friday at Vernal. While there Mrs. Brady visited with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren. Max Taylor, a University of Utah student spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor. Gerald Murphy of Murray spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee spent Sunday afternoon with their mother, Mrs. Mary Lisonbee at her home in Bluebell. Mrs. Lisonbee Lison-bee has been very ill the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs, Glade Taylor and . children of Craig, Colo, are' visiting visit-ing here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. William Abplanalp of Utahn are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith. Mrs, Abplanalp Abp-lanalp has been very ill' and is being cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Smith. Roy Taylor has been spending a few days helping Tom Powers with his sheep. Elvin Barker of Duchesne, visited vis-ited Sacrament meeting, representing represent-ing the High Council. Mr. Barker and Wanless Shields we're the speakers. Geraldine Richardson of Roosevelt Roose-velt was a Sunday overnight guest of Norma Rae Murphy. |
