LYNN RASMUSSEN Virginia Marie Mercer and Lynn Rasmussen United in Marriage, to Reside in Ogden junior bridesmaid and flower girl carried little baskets and wore dainty red net hats caught in the middle with a white flower. Serving as best man for the bridegroom was his brother, C. M. Rasmussen and ushers were Robert Rob-ert Mercer and Daniel McGuire. The mother of the bride wore a cream colored textured boucle suit and the mother of the bride-gram bride-gram wore a two-piece dress of beige cotton and knit lace and both wore red carnations. Following the reception the newlyweds left for a week's honeymoon hon-eymoon trip to Glen Canyon and Las Vegas and are now making a home in Ogden where Mr. Rasmussen Ras-mussen is employed with the Forest Service experiment station. sta-tion. Both Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen Rasmus-sen are graduates of College of Southern Utah; she is a senior at Utah State University and he is a graduate of the same school. In a double-ring wedding ceremony which took place on Saturday Feb. 12 Miss Virginia Marie Mercer and Lynn Rasmussen Rasmus-sen were united in marriage. The rites took place in the Relief Re-lief Society room of the Third Ward church with Bishop Verl Talyor officiating in the ceremony cere-mony in the presence of members mem-bers of the immediate families. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Mercer and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rasmussen, all of Parowan. The newlyweds were honored that same evening at a reception hosted by the parents of the bride, and held in the Third Ward cultural hall. For the reception the bride was dressed in an original model mo-del gown designed by herself of lace and delustered satin. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Attendants to the bride were her sister, Mrs. Stuart Adams, as matron of honor; Mrs. Daniel McGuire, sister of the bridegroom, attendant; Jill Adams as junior bridesmaid and Petite Rebecca Lee Adams, flower girl. A Valentine theme was carried out with the attendants wearing wear-ing dresses of red shantung. The |
