WOOD Sisters, Marsha and Yvonne Vorkink were married in a double wedding, July 22. The brides, daughters of Dr. and Mrs. J. Paid Vorkink, exchanged nupital vows with John R. Logan and Robert W. Wood during LDS Temple riles. ISridegrom John R. Logan who spoke vows with Marsha Vorkink is a son of Mrs. Lola Miller, Las Vegas . Nevada, and 'lie grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph i'. Adams of Cedar City. Robert W. Wood, the bridegroom bride-groom of Yvonne Vorkink, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Syrenus Wood, Spanish Pork, Utah. J.'.'lh couples symboli.cl their rites with double-ring exchanges, j j The two sols of newlyweds Were honored at a reception held tile evening of their wedding at the Cedar West Stake House m Cedar City. The brides' sister, 1 Evelyn Vorkink was maid of hon- 1 or for Marsha and Yvonne. In' addition, Marsha was attended i by Miss Paulene Bunker, Missl Janice Lamb, Mrs. Calvin (Ra-I Nee) Eyre, Miss Kathio Knell' and Miss Judy Cowan. They all wore orange print dresses with linen lops and orange crepe skirts styled floor-length to an Empire fashion. Yvonne's bridesmaids were Miss Cynthia Williams, Mrs. John Reynolds and Mrs. William Vorkink Vor-kink who wore crepe and linen floor-length gowns in pink and pink-floral patterns. For her wedding gown, Marsha chose a white crepe with Florentine Floren-tine Rose lace front panel and train. The Empire fashion featured fea-tured lily-point sleeves and was accented by a shoulder-length veil of bridal illusion which was secured to a crown of lace and pearls. Yvonne's dress was a clelustered satin gown featuring appliqued flowers. Her Crystal 1 tiara held a bouffant veil of ! bridal illusion. Mr. Lance Gardner and Mr. Jesse Lloyd Walker were the best men for the two bridegrooms, while Bill and Stuart Vorkink acted as ushers for the pair. The mothers' and grandmothers' grand-mothers' gowns were in keeping with the pink and orange color schemes. Each was adorned with a carnation corsage. Mrs. Ralph Adams wore a lace dress while Mrs. Syren us Wood was dressed in a pink crepe outfit. The brides' mother, Mrs . v'orkiir. wore a street-length dress in pin! crepe with a darker pink corsage. cor-sage. Those helping with the reception recep-tion included Marsha's guest book attendant, Diane Gillie o; Los Angeles, California; gift room attendant, Mrs. Keaih (Maerene) Bills from Los Alam it os, California; Kitchen hott:;-ses, hott:;-ses, Vivian Knell, Aurelia Bauer. Verda Misel and Ida Halterman Her serving girls were Janet III"; bee, Merle Davis and C:iery: Brown. Guest book attendant for Yvonne was Mrs. Staurt (Bob-ette) (Bob-ette) Vorkink, while Mrs. Von C. Bunker of Escondido, California, acted as gift-room attendant. Kitchen hostesses were Ora Mitchell, Leslie Sevy, Jean Forsyth For-syth and Bonnie Clark and serving serv-ing for Yvonne were Maxine Humpheries, Mrs. Bruce (Pat) Forsyth and Miss Loralce Bills of Los Alamitos, California. Serving of the two wedding cakes was done by Mrs. James ( (Carolyn) Nielsen of Las Vegas, Miss Gayla Nielsen and Mrs. Richard (Anna Lynn) Wilk. Organ Or-gan music was rendered by Mrs. Milton (Irene) Hyatt. Nowlywods, Marsha and John Logan honeymooned at the Sahara Sa-hara Hotel in Las Vegas and will return to make their home in Cedar City where John is a student stu-dent at CSU and an empoyee of Bradshaw Chevrolet Co. Marsha graduated from CSU and the University Un-iversity of Utah. She is presently pre-sently employed at the Utah Parks Commissary. Following John's graduation from Cedar High School he also completed a mission for the LDS Church in the Southwest South-west Indian Mission. Pre-nutial parties for Marsha included a shower given by Janice Jan-ice Lamb. Honeymoon destination for Mr. and Mrs. Robert W, Wood was Yellowstone National Park and Colorado. Mrs. Wood is a graduate of CSU, USU and is a second grade teacher in Salt Lake City. Mr. Wood attended Snow College, University of Utah and Brigham Young University. He also completed a mission in Germany. He is currently employed em-ployed as a capenter in Salt Lake City. Pre-nuptial courtesies for Yvonne were given by Mrs. Stuart and Mrs. Bill Vorkink. |
