Show Richard D. Heywoods Honeymoon in Canada Enroute to Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada are newly-weds, newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Heywood. The bride, the former Miss Sandra San-dra Mae Peters, and her bridegroom bride-groom were united In marriage Saturday, Dec. 19 at the St. George LDS Temple. Officiating at the double-ring rites was President Pres-ident James P. Cameron. Saturday evening, following the wedding ceremony, the young couple were honored at an open house at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Heywood. Monday evening, Dec. 28 at Cranbrook, B. C. parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. John "Bud" Peters, will further honor the couple cou-ple at an open house. For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown of lace over taffeta with tiers of lace In the back. The high neckline was accented with tiny seed pearls and the gown featured long tapering sleeves, coming to a point at the wrist. Her veil was caught to a crown of seed pearls. Assisting at the open house In Cedar City were JoLcne Grames, sister of the bridegroom and Terry Ter-ry Bolandcr. Following the open house the couple left for a brief honeymoon honey-moon stay in Las Vegas, Nev., after which they embarked for Canada to be with the brides' parents at Christmas time and for the open house there. Richard Is a graduate of Cedar City High School and has attended at-tended the Brlgham Young University Uni-versity at Provo. He was prominent prom-inent In athletics, participating In track and field, both in high school and at BYU. He has served a two year mission mis-sion for the LDS Church in Canada. Can-ada. The new Mrs. Heywood attended attend-ed schools In Cranbrook. She is a convert to the LDS Church and has been active In affairs o the church. Following their visit In Canada, Cana-da, the young couple will return to Provo to make their home while Kicnard continues his education ed-ucation at BYU. -r. . .. i 1 . . i MR. AND MRS. Arriving at the Osborne's lovely new home for an evening of feasting and visiting visit-ing were Mr. and Mrs. McRay Cloward, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson, Mrs. Hazen Cooley, Mrs. Ann Gardner, Mrs. Lita Cooley, Coo-ley, and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Kup-fer. |
