Clark Orton, prominent residents of Parowan, will celebrate their 50th Wedding Wed-ding Anniversary on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1959. The family will honor their parents that day with an open house, to be followed follow-ed by a family dinner to commemorate com-memorate the event. The open house will be held on Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 6 o'clock in the Old Rock Church In Parowan. and an Invitation In-vitation is extended to everyone to call durlrg those hours. The family tes that no gifts . be brought Tor Che occasion. Following the open house the family will hold a dinner. Albert Clark Orton was born at Parowan, a son of Albert H. and Mary E. Clark Orton. and has been a prominent farmer and livestock man and was active act-ive as an officer in the Wool-growers Wool-growers Association here for many years. Minnie Catherine Laub Orton was born at Santa Clara. Utah, a daughter of Jacob L. and Catherine Cath-erine Stucki Laub. She was a school teacher for many years, and has been active in the LDS Church, serving as a teacher and officer in the YMMIA, Primary, Sunday School and the Relief So-ciety. So-ciety. Mr. and Mrs. Orton are the parents of nine children, all of whom are living. They are as follows: Mrs. George V. Clayton (Phyllis), Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. D (Ola) Robinson, Reed L. Orton, Worth L. Orton, Hal. L. Orton and Clark ! . Orton, all of Parowan; Paro-wan; Eldon L, Orton, Kearns, Utah, Mrs. Steve (Vera) Matthls, Paso Robles, Calif.; Mrs. Jack (Carma) Matthls, San Berna-dU no, Calif. They also have 25 grandchildren, and thre great-j great-j grandchildren. |
