Show Linda Heaton Recites Vows in Home Rites A ceremony Friday, Aug. 22 united Miss Linda Heaton and John Robert Wood In marriage. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Heaton and Mr. Wood is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard H. Wood, both of Cedar City. The couple exchanged vows at the home of the bride's parents at 284 South 800 West. Bishop Giles Bolander of the Cedar Eighth LDS Ward officiated at the double-ring ceremony. A reception was held after the ceremony at the Heaton residence. resi-dence. The bride wore a gown of ballerina bal-lerina length. The round, scolloped scollop-ed neckline was outlined with pearls and the lace sleeves were of quarter length. A viel of fingertip fin-gertip length was caught to a crown of lace with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses centered by an orchid. or-chid. Attendants were Mrs. Norman Atherley, matron of honor; Miss Connie Brlnkerhoff as maid of honor, and Miss Eva Stones, Miss Jean Rhodes, Mrs. Bud Green and Mrs. Clark Hirschi, bridesmaids. brides-maids. Flowergirls were petite Misses Kathleen Heaton and Jane Irons. Standing as best man was Paul Douglas. The bride is a graduate of La-Ilobra La-Ilobra High School of Whitticr, Calif., although she attended Cedar Ce-dar City schools through most of her career. She was enrolled at Cedar High School In 1957 then moved to Whittler in January Janu-ary of this year to complete her High School education. The bridegroom is a graduate Jof Cedar City High School and is currently serving with the United Unit-ed States Navy. He has just recently re-cently completed a tour of duty in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. Is-lands. He will embark from the Atlantic At-lantic Coast on September 3 for another overseas assignment in Germany. The new Mrs. Wood will remain re-main in Cedar City for the time being and will join her husband in Germany as soon as necessary arangements can be made. |
