Show PIONEER WOMAN IS SUMMONED BY DEATH Mrs. Sarah Butler Mikesell Passes Away at the Age of 81 Years. Mrs. Sarah Butler Jllkesell. 81 yearB of age. died at her home, 606 North Second West street, this city, at 6 o'clock yesterday yes-terday morning, after a long Illness. Mrs. Mlkesell was horn in a village In Greene county. Illinois, December 26, 1S32, the daughter of Charles C. and Louisa Butler. When 5 years of age, she went to Far West. Mo., with her parents, who. with others of their religions belief, were being be-ing forced over into Illinois. She came to Utah in September, 1852. driving an ox team and walking all the way. On February 3, 185-8, in this city, she was married to Hyrum W. Mlkesell and reared a large family. She was left a widow in 1SS3. Mrs. Mlkesell left the following children: chil-dren: Mrs. George Cheshire, A. H. Mikesell of Chicago, Hvrum W. Mlkesell. Mlke-sell. William W. Mikesell, Mrs. Charles T. Husband, Lizzie Mikesell, Alice MJke-sell MJke-sell and Mrs. R- W. Anderson; granddaughters grand-daughters are Mrs. Lester Wallace and Miss Frankie Mikesell of tnia city. The funeral will be held from the family fam-ily residence. 506 North Second "West street, at 2 p. nx Wednesday. Friends of tlie family are Invited. |
