Ferron Hacking, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Mott and family and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hacking all attended the wedding of Alan H. Chew, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Chew and Grace Ann May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill May, held in Steamboat Springs, Colo., on Sat., Sept. 27. All the guests listed above also attended the open house held at the Dean Chew ranch in Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hacking, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hacking, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Calder were also in attendance at the open house in honor of Alan and Grace Chew. Visiting at the home of Harold McKee for the funeral services of his wife, Thelda McKee were Mrs. Thelma Cheak of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Murray Mur-ray from Blackfoot, Idaho., Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Murray from Springfield, Mo., Dee and Johnny of Garden Grove, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Abplanalp and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Abplanalp from California. , Mrs. Betty Bowden spent three days in Craig, Colo, where her husband, Dan Bowden is working. Friends and relatives of Don Williams, the son of Leland and Gwen Williams of Dry Fork spent Sunday, Sept. 28 at their home for a dinner and farewell testimonial. The families of Dan W. Turner and Don Bowden met at the Bowden home for their first reunion on Sunday, Sept. 28. A dinner was served and the remainder re-mainder of the day was spent visiting and looking at old photographs. Those present were: Lee Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Turner and son, Stephen and Kathy Bowden and family, Larraine Downard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fulkerson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Merrell and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Karren and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Turner and Mrs. Don Bowden. Lee Turner and David Turner left on Sunday, Sept. 28 for Logan. David will be working in the Logan area and Lee will be attending USU. Maeser Second Ward Relief Society held their sesquicentennial fall social on Friday, Sept. 26 at the Maeser Stake cultural hall. Sharon Angus and Raema Hatch were the co-chairmen of the dinner, din-ner, with Sandra Stewart and Alice Kay Stewart on the committee to help with the planning. The Hall was decorated in a fall theme with wheat, pumpkins, and corn husk dolls. Isabell Batty did her one person show on the life of Emma Smith, the wife of the LDS prophet, Joseph Smith, Jr., as the program for the evening. even-ing. Gary and Claudia Reynolds' new son was born Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Uintah Uin-tah County Hospital. His name will be Gregory Wayne, and he weighed 10 lb. 5 oz. Grandparents are Dan and Phylis Turner and Jay and Hazel Reynolds. Great grandparents are Edith Gale and Selda Reynolds. Kathleen Carroll Palmer and children Micheal and Jeanette from Auckland, New Zeland will arrive at the Salt Lake City airport on Friday, Oct. 3. She plans to be in Utah for about 3'2 months visiting friends. Raymond and lla Bascom spent the weekend in Maeser with the Garth At-woods At-woods working on the new home they are building in Dry Fork canyon. Brent and Carol Feltch have a new grandchild, a girl born to David and Kathy (Dutson) Feltch at the Uintah County Hopsital on Thursday, Sept. 25, weighing 7 lb. 13 oz. Her name will be Michelle. Other grandparents are Carl and Valynn Dutson of Hinkley, Utah. Mr. Valynn Dutson is at the David Feltch home to care for her daughter and first grandchild. Great grandparents grand-parents are Lorin Dutson of Hinkley, Utah; Clark and Vira Draper of Cedar City, Jennifer Feltch of Vernal and Ella Poelman of Salt Lake City. |
