Show Tribute Paid by Sacred Heart On a bright May morning in 1014, friends and relatives gathered in SL Joseph's church to witness the wedding wed-ding Ceremony of a young woman who had so endeared herself to all with whom she fame in contact that her marriage and leaving for another city, was felt to be a personal loss to Og-denltes. Og-denltes. Today, this loveable young woman lies dead in her beautiful San Francisco Francis-co home where for the past year she has resided. As the wife of Herbert S. Crowther, she was no less loveable I than as a sweet girl at Sacred Heart academy where the grief at news of her death is exceeded only by that felt in the Immediate family circle. From baby days, she had been a pupil pu-pil of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, and always the same, docile, gentle girl I that rendered the valedictory in the June days of 1910 when she said adieu to Sacred Heart. One of her last visits vis-its made on her recent trip home, just a month ago, was to her alma mater whose interests were so dear to her heart, and of which she was such a perfect representative. Her home In the coast city was a veritable mecca for Ogden friends where in the charming hostess, loving wife and devoted mother, one recog- 1 nized the simple, beautiful girl of her school days. For many hearts today, the Christ-mas Christ-mas bells hold requiem tones, and they . seem to echo "Our Mabel is dead." But above the minor chord the angels ' chant a welcome to her who seemed to carry the sunlight of heaven in her i smile, the joyous radiance of another world in her kindly manner. I To the bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs P. C. Krauss, her sister, Katha- i -H rine the loving aunt, Mrs. Mary Con- 1 1 nors, and to the most devoted hus- band, Herbert S. Crowthers, the death. of "dear Mabel" as all loved to call her, is a cross that only God can glvo strength to bear. Of the two darling little girls, Margaret and Helen, whose baby Hps uttered with, tenderest love that word mother, we beg the Infant Savior to shield in His heart, and give them love to supply for what God has seen fit to withdraw. Final arrangements for tho funeral jH have not yet been perfected, but the re-mains re-mains of -Mrs. Crowther will be Jl brought to Ogden where her lifelong ll friends may pay a last sad tribute to one who knew so perfectly the loyal- ty of friendship.
