Show j: TREMOOT j j (Special to Tho Standard) ' j Last Sunday the Methodist church held Christmas services both nWning j and evening, the Rev. Allison preach-: ing the Christmas sermon. I Wednesday of last week a pleasant surprise party was given to Mr. and I Mrs. A. Baker, who reside on a farm west of this city. In the evening at an early hour a few friends of the family fam-ily arrived with basket loads of good things to eat and a Jolly time was. spent in playing games. The rooms were quickly decorated with carnations carna-tions which" the 'intruders' brought with them and every thing was done to make tho evening a pleasant one. The Modern Woodmen of Tremon-ton Tremon-ton held a mectnig last Tuesday evening eve-ning when a few new candidates were initiated. After the initiation and a regular business the party proceeded to the Shield Motel where a supper was partaken of About a hundred people were present. A farewell party was tendered to Misses Tina and Maud Orm who will) leave soon for Montana. The affain proved p pleasant social and was given giv-en on Monday evening of last week. I A program of music, singing and read- j lngs was followed by speeches hy Wni. i Capwell. A supper was served to about! twenty -five guests. j Mr. Herman Hulse of Ridgcdale, Idaho was in Tremonton early in the week transacting business. Mrs. Anna Everson of Portage was visiting and shopping here Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Jensen of Bear River City were here this week attending attend-ing to business matters and visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hadfield of Riverside River-side wore in Tremonton Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon E. Stokes of Bothvillc were in Tremonton Tuesday. Tues-day. P. C. Petterson, a stockman of Garland, Gar-land, was transacting business in Tremonton Tre-monton the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. J.
