Show Where the Fish Bite With weather conditions favorable, the best fishing of the ; ;! spring season so far should be had tomorrow in the lower wa- ;j '. ters of practically every stream in the state. Reports received up to midnight last night indicate that all ; ; of the streams are low and clear, with the fish biting well. ;i Fishing on the headwaters of the various streams should : : be good, but the depth of snow makes it almost impossible to : ! reach those parts of the streams. During the early part of this week two men fished in : : Blacksmith Fork canyon at a point about twelve miles from ; ; the mouth. They reported a catch of twenty-live trout in j: less than three hours of actual fishing. The snow, however, ; : was from two to four feet deep, makng it hard work to : travel when not wading the stream. Several good catches j; have been reported during the week from the Logan, Web-: Web-: cr, Provo, and from several of the smaller streams in Salt :j Lake county. The question of the best lures to use will have to be de- '. cided by the fisherman, though many will try flics tomorrow, ; : as it is known that the fish are beginning to rise. Spinners I; i; and spoons will likely work well, especially in the lower wa-' wa-' ters of the larger streams. Salmon eggs and worms will be j :j the favorites with many fishermen tomorrow, and for the re-: re-: maindcr of the open spring season. Reports of the conditions of streams will appear regularly :j in the Sunday Tribune. |
