As gucstp of David -Mattaon, owner of Maxim's cafo, and E. L. Willo, man-ngcr, man-ngcr, meuibera of tho Salt Lako City Transportation club last night onjoyed a bancpict at tho cafe. Tho banquet was one of tho most largely attended affairs ever siven by the association, at least 200 members being present. Tho qucat ion of whothor the Saltair Beach company intended to make any improvements this year, raised nt the last meeting o the club, was settled by a report from tho special committee appointed ap-pointed to confer with Joseph Nelson, president of the company. Tho com-mitteo com-mitteo reported that Mr. Nelson had given assttranco that many improvements improve-ments were to be jnadc this year nt the beach, and that the road will be electrified elec-trified as soon as a franchise cau bo so-cured so-cured from the city of Salt Lake so that trains may be operated into the heart of the city. Jt was decided to appoint a committee commit-tee of three to confer with tho Salt Lako Commercial club in regard to sending copies of tho association folder to nil the passenger agents in tho United Unit-ed States and Canada. President Prank X. Joukinson rcportod that plans for this vcar's .folder were being prepared bv tho committee in charge, wealcy King of the Commercial club assured tho association mombers that the pafi-senger pafi-senger association had tho support of the club in the financial problem of putting out a folder. |
