John Ivey, the record keeper of Tlntlc tent Ko. 13, Knights of tho Maccabees, porformcd a very pleasant duty on Tuosdav when he turned over to the widow of Arvld Hudd a check for $1000, this being the amount of the insurance carried by Mr. Hudd. Mr. Hudd's death took place about tlio middle of last month and the death claims were promptly sent to tho supreme su-preme lodge of tho Maccabees, und us a result Mrs. Hudd received the Insurance within a few weeks after tho death of her husband.
