Cutler, Jr., & Co.: While tho business of tho country has been ufTccted by changoablc weather lute-ly, lute-ly, Indications point to more prosperous conditions than existed last year. Although Al-though the general outlook for business Is good In most lines, the two conspicuous conspicu-ous exceptions are ln the railroad field and the beet-sugar Industry, where tho earnings are now lower nnd expectations of Improvement somewhat uncertain. Industrial conditions continue fairly satisfactory In Utah, and while building operations are rather quiet, there arc numerous Indications of reviving activity Wholesale and retail business In all lines Is fairly good, the volume of trade being about equal to last year's, nnd business men arc encouraged with the prospects for spring and summer. Tho reports of the condition of the state banks of Utah nt the close of business busi-ness on February 28 are now being published, pub-lished, while tho statements of the national na-tional hanks were mado last month.
