McDonald, Alex Balrd nnd Anthony Jurlch returned lust night ln tho hitter's car from a trip to Inspect the new ore find made near Pler-mont Pler-mont by Andy Buchanan, a trapper, says the Ely Expositor. Tho strike Jooks very good In the opinion of Mr. Hulse, who brought back some samples of the surface ore which appears to be well mineralized and which is found In a limc-quartzlte con-tuct con-tuct that parallels the schlst-quartzltc contact on which the old Plermont mines nro located. There appears to be several sev-eral contacts running along through the foothills In a northerly-southerly direction direc-tion and which. In fact, are believed to be part of lh. series extending from Schellbourne pass to Cooper pass, a distance dis-tance of about sixty miles. The old Copper mine, tho Muney mines, those at Aurum. Slegel and Queen springs are all believed to be on this series of contacts and from nil of them large quantities of ore have been produced at one time or another. The Ely visitors found plenty of open ground and made some locations for themselves and friends. |
