QUARANTINE ON HOGS IS RAISED IN PART Governor Spry Amends Recent Proclamation Procla-mation in Order to Encourage Shipments. In order to prevent discrimination against Utah by shippers of hoes from outside states, Governor William Spry 3'cstcrday issued an amendment to his recent proclamation placinc a quarantine quaran-tine on hogs shipped from outside points into this state. Under the amendment, hogs shipped for immcdiato slaughter may come in without having to be subjected to the scrum test, provided they arc killed under un-der government, city or state inspection. inspec-tion. All .shipments for brooding and stocking purposes, however, will continue con-tinue to be subjected to Qic scrum test. It was found under tho original proclamation that hoc- raisers in Idaho and other neighboring states were not nhippiug into Utah in sufficient quantities, quan-tities, but were shipping to California point', where tho expensive serum test is not drmanded on nogs for slaughter.
