Tho word containing this news came in a message to Dr. J. F. Merrill of the r'nlversltv of Utah, who represents the local institution on tho conference board, in speaking of the matter, Dr. Merrill had this lo say: The reinstatement of Mr. Poterson bv the Rocky Mountain conference seems to bo assured. It was decided by the arbitrators that Peterson could not be Justly dlsquallfiod on the evidence so far submitted and Indicated Indi-cated that prospects wore favorable to Peterson. Just before the meet last year Coach Tcetzel of the Agricultural college charged that Peterson was In his fifth vear of competition. The charge was startling to the university authorities, authori-ties, and Coach Rennlon was inclined to laugh at 11. TootJtel permitted Peterson to compete, but warned the University of L'tuh that they were using him under protest. Meant Championship. Peterson won third place in the quarter-mile vim and was a inombor ot the team which won the relay for Utah. At the close of the meet the score stood: 1 Utah 17, 13. V. U. no. and A. C. 3D. Utah was declared champion. Information was later supplied to Mr. Day, upon which he doclarod Peterson Ineligible.
